About the Artist
Bio
Liana Amaya is a contemporary artist and arts community advocate based in Houston, Texas. In 2022, she graduated Cornell University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a minor in Inequality Studies. She is known for her large-scale oil paintings that explore the dichotomy between the natural and man-made within the lens of existentialism. Through her art and work at Houston Arts Alliance, Amaya uplifts her community by bridging gaps in access to the arts and fostering a diverse arts ecosystem in Houston.
